On the opening day of the fourth Test in Ahmedabad brewed heated moment between Indian pacer Mohammad Siraj and English all-rounder Ben Stokes. They exchanged some words before skipper Virat Kohli took the matter in his hands.
Kohli had an animated discussion with the Englishman for using cuss words at Siraj. The argument pacified after umpire Nitin Menon intervened to resume the play when England were tottering at 32/3.
“He was swearing at me, so Virat bhai intervened and handled that well. These things happen at ground,” Siraj told at the post-match press conference.
While Stokes also told his narratives. “A lot gets said these days when two guys seem to come to words out in the middle, but it was nothing untoward. We’re competitors going toe to toe, and no-one’s backing down,” Stokes said.
Siraj picked two wickets today and the massive was uprooting English skipper Joe Root.
