As the second day of the first Test put England on top, off the field too former English all-rounder Andrew Flintoff had the last laugh after he replied to a five-year-old tweet. During the 2016 T20 World Cup Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan took a jibe at Joe Root and tweeted, “Root who ? जड़ से उखाड़ देंगे Root ko ..!!! (Root who? We will uproot him).”

Bachchan’s tweet as a response to Flintoff’s tweet where he put Joe Root over Virat Kohli and said Kohli might match Root’s level someday. “At this rate @imVkohli will be as good as @root66 one day ! Not sure who @englandcricket will meet in the final now !” Flintoff tweeted in 2016.
Flintoff wrote today, “With the greatest respect, this aged well,” after Root clutched a double-hundred today in his 100th Test match and became the first-ever to do so in the history of Test cricket.
