IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Joe Root dismisses Jadeja as India lose 7th wicket

In the ongoing third Test match between India and England, on day 2, centurion Jadeja departed after an impressive knock. Root claimed the wicket with a caught and bowled dismissal. Jadeja’s innings came to an end without adding too many runs to his overnight score, much to the delight of the England team.

The delivery was tossed up full on middle, tempting Jadeja to press forward and whip it into the leg-side. However, he closed the face of the bat a touch too early, resulting in a leading edge. The ball turned just enough to catch the edge and pop straight back to Root, who completed the catch comfortably in front of his face.
