IND vs BAN: Shreyas Iyer set to surpass KL Rahul to be the fastest Indian to achieve this milestone

After a long break, the Indian cricket team and Bangladesh’s team are prepared to play ODI series. India will play three one-day internationals against Bangladesh while on a brief tour there. The Indian cricket team has already begun training there and will take on Bangladesh in the opening ODI on Sunday, December 4.

Since Shreyas Iyer has been getting runs so frequently, Suryakumar Yadav’s position at number four is undoubtedly in jeopardy. Iyer  is about to set a personal record for himself during the process. Shreyas Iyer has scored 1428 runs in 32 ODI innings. If Iyer scores 72 runs during the Bangladesh series, he will break KL Rahul’s record of 36 innings to reach 1500 ODI runs.

Earlier, KL Rahul finished the chase in 36 innings, making him the fastest Indian to reach 1500 runs in an ODI. Shreyas Iyer might beat out his teammate to become the fastest Indian to reach 1500 runs in the ODI format.
