India managed to win the unimportant third one-day international in the current series against Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s dominance in the series’ opening two games had already guaranteed their victory.
India’s outstanding 409-run innings was a significant factor, especially in light of the close proximity of the ICC World Cup 2023.

Ishan Kishan, the opening batsman for the Indian cricket team, made history by becoming the fourth Indian to score a double century in ODI cricket. In ODI cricket history, the opener scored a double century in the quickest time ever. Ishan needed just 126 balls to complete his double century. In his outstanding innings, he hit 24 boundaries and 10 sixes. Ishan Kishan scored 210 runs before being out in the 36th over by Taskin Ahmed. In the unimportant third and final game, India went on to defeat Bangladesh by a score of 227 runs.

Virat Kohli too managed to bring up his 72nd century but was slightly overshadowed by Ishan Kishan’s dominance. Washington Sundar and Axar Patel concluded the Indian innings by adding some bonus runs and 409 was a tough target to chase for the Bengal Tigers.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, struggled to get off to a good start after losing their captain Liton Das and his opening partner Anamul Haque by  47 runs. Shakib Al Hasan played a dramatic inning of 43 runs before being bowled out by Kuldeep Yadav. Bangladesh lost all 10 of its wickets for 182 runs, and its innings was over in 34 overs. Each bowler in the successful bowling unit took at least one wicket, with Shardul taking the most for the day.

Litton Das: The way Ishan and Virat batted, that cost us the game. The way Ishan batted, hats off to him. Our bowlers tried our best but there was no way out on this wicket. Had we been chasing 330-340, it would have been a different ball game. They are a good side. We played good cricket and will help our confidence.
