The third Test match of the four-match series, the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023, will be held in Indore from March 1 to March 5.

Team India successfully defended the Border Gavaskar Trophy after defeating Australia by six wickets in the second Test match and would like to go all-in on the WTC final in England. India also won the first Test by an innings and 132 runs, giving them a 2-0 lead in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023.

Mohammed Shami will lead the pace attack, but switching seam bowlers might be a good idea. Umesh Yadav has an outstanding record in Test cricket in India. He has the experience and guile to achieve the same results Shami has so far in the series.

Mohammed Siraj had done nothing wrong to be dropped, but given that he is now one of India’s premier pacers across all formats, it may be logical to rest him and play the veteran Umesh for the third Test.

After the success of spin-bowling all-rounders Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel in the series thus far, the team management is unlikely to change the combination.
