IND vs AUS Live: India struggles in the first session; visitors’ spinners dominating

Indian team ends the first session on a very poor note as they have lost 7 wickets.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss on Wednesday and opted to bat first on the Day 1 of the 3rd test game in the Border- Gavaskar tournament at Indore.

The opening pair of captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill struggled against the Australians Matthew Kuhnemann as he took both wickets, dismissing Rohit Sharma for 12 runs and Gill for 21 runs.

The fall of wickets continued for the blues. India saw the dismissal of R Jadeja by Lyon Nathon for just four runs, and Matthew Kuhnemann took another two wickets dismissing Pujara and Shreyas Iyer.

Both Pujara and Iyer got dismissed for one and zero runs, respectively.

Virat Kohli was dismissed for 22 runs. He got out by spinner Todd Murphy. Following Kohli’s wicket, India saw the fall of Wicketkeeper Srikar Bharat for just 17 runs.

India’s tally averages 84 runs for seven wickets in the first sessions.
