IND vs AUS: Ishan Kishan likely to make Test debut in 4th Test

Due to poor batting, India lost the third Test against Australia in Indore. The Indian think-tank may decide to improve their batting for the final Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test, which begins on Thursday in Ahmedabad, with an eye on a WTC Final spot. As a result, Ishan Kishan, who was benched for the first three Tests, could replace KS Bharat in the playing XI.

Following K S Bharat’s poor showing with the willow in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the relatively better batting track at the Narendra Modi Stadium could well bring dashing Jharkhand keeper-batter Ishan Kishan into the mix.

Bharat, who has been groomed as Rishabh Pant’s backup for the past year and is an India A regular, has scores of 8, 6, 23 not out, 17, and 3 in five innings in the first three Tests. His keeping has been impressive on slow turners, despite a hiccup on a raging turner in Indore.
