IND vs AUS: Australia begins preparations for Indore Test as Smith ready to take leadership role

Team Australia, which has been in Delhi for the past two weeks, will arrive in Madhya Pradesh’s capital today. The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association has prepared a red-soil surface with plenty of bounce for the Indore Test, which will provide some relief to Australia. Visitors will enjoy playing on the surface, especially since Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green are both returning.

Australia’s practise session will begin tomorrow. Notably, the visitors were training at Delhi’s Arun Jaitely Stadium before flying to Indore.

Talking about the Indore pitch, the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association has prepared a red-soil pitch with plenty of bounce. Recently ICC  gave the pitches in Nagpur and Delhi a rating after Australia suffered back-to-back series losses to India in the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

With a 2-0 lead in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy, India will be looking for a series-clinching victory in the third Test match against Australia, which will begin on March 1 in Indore. Meanwhile, Australia will stage a comeback and hope to win the remaining two games if the series is to end in a 2-2 tie.
