Virat Kohli has been achieving new milestones in every match he plays. International Council of Cricket (ICC) nominations for ‘player of the decade’ clearly shows what Kohli has achieved in the past decade. The Indian skipper’s domination has impressed cricket fans. Even the players from the opposite side admire and praise him for his achievements. The latest in that list is the Australian captain Aaron Finch.
Finch had shared the dressing room with Indian captain recently in the IPL 2020, The Australian captain agrees there isn’t much he can do to stop a batsman of Kohli’s calibre, whom the Aussie captain believes is probably the ‘best one-day player of all time’.
“If you look at his record it’s second to none. “It really is remarkable. I think what we have to keep in mind is that we have to keep looking to get him out,” Finch said ahead of the first ODI
Kohli loves to score against Australia in Australia. He averages 44.92 the 15 matches that he has played against Australia. Finch feels there are few chances of getting Kohli at the beginning of the innings.
“When you go away from that and you look to contain players you can miss a trick there. There’s not too many chinks in his armour. He’s probably the best one-day player of all time so it’s about sticking to our plans and being really committed in that regard.”
After a long haul of international cricket, India’s tour of Australia will start from November 27. The men in blue will play three ODIs,T20Is and also four-Test matches against the might Australians.
