Indian cricket team and Sri Lankan team are up against each other in Eden Gardens, Kolkata in the second ODI game. Indian team is already leading this series by 1-0 after they won the first game by 67 runs. In the second game, Sri Lanka decided to bat first and they performed well in the powerplay.
Sri Lanka lost just a single wicket in the powerplay. Mohammed Siraj dismissed Sri Lankan opening batter Avishka Fernando in the 6th over of the game. It was a cutter from Siraj to help India take their first wicket of the game.
After that wicket, Nuwanidu and Kusal Mendis had a good partnership. Both the batters have settled well in the crease and thus India brought in Umran Malik in search of the second wicket.
However the pacer was hit for three boundaries in his very first over. Nuwanidu used Umran Malik’s pace very well and hit him three boundaries.
