In the men’s Twenty20 International, Kasigo Rabada of South Africa has claimed 50 wickets. He also became the fourth South African bowler to accomplish this milestone. Rabada removed Ruturaj Gaikwad in the first over of the second match in the five-match T20I series against India, laying the groundwork for the proteas.
Rabada joins the elite list of South African bowlers who have taken the most wickets: Dale Steyn (64 wickets), Imran Tahir (63 wickets), and Tabraiz Shamsi (57 wickets).
The South African speedster also became the second fastest bowler to reach the feat after only Imran Tahir.
Earlier in the match, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to bowl against India. Quinton de Kock and Tristan Stubbs were replaced by Heinrich Klaasen and Reeza Hendricks, respectively, for the visitors while India’s starting lineup remained unchanged.
