IND v ENG: Head coach Rahul Dravid joins the team ahead of warm-up match against Leicester

The rescheduled fifth Test between India and England will begin on July 1 at Old Trafford.

Rahul Dravid, India’s head coach, has joined the rest of the squad ahead of the rescheduled fifth Test against England at Leicestershire County Cricket Club. The delayed fifth Test between India and England is set to take place at Edgbaston from July 1 to 5.

Last year’s test match between India and England was postponed because to a covid outbreak in the Indian camp. India now holds a 2-1 advantage in the series.

Rohit, who was rested for the last T20I series against South Africa, will be leading the squad for the first time in Test cricket outside of India. KL Rahul, on the other hand, will be unable to partake in the tour due to injury. R Ashwin, all-rounder, was unable to join the Test team in England after testing positive for COVID-19.

India will play three T20Is, three ODIs, and one Test match in England. Before the white-ball series, the visitors will play two warm-up matches against Derbyshire and Northamptonshire.
