On the second day of the fifth test match between India and England at Edgbaston on Saturday (July 2), Mohamed Shami was caught at third man to give Stuart Broad his 550th Test wicket.
Broad bowled the most expensive over in Test cricket, conceding 35 runs in an over. Jasprit Bumrah, the skipper of India, actually scored 29 of those runs, hitting three fours and two sixes in the over.
India played England on Day 2 of their ongoing final and fifth Test match at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Saturday after registering 338 for seven on Day 1 at Stumps.
On the first day of the fifth Test on Friday at Edgbaston, India overcame England by going from 98/5 to 338/7 thanks in large part to the persistence of Rishabh Pant and the clear head of Ravindra Jadeja. In a fantastic 222-run sixth-wicket partnership with Jadeja, who was still in the game at stumps on 83, Pant scored 146 off 111 balls. On Day 2, Jadeja went out after 104 runs on 194 balls and 13 boundaries.
