The crowd roared in unison and the Indian team’s camp cheered loud when Ravindra Jadeja swung his bat to score his first ton against England team in England. The all-rounder partnered his inning with Rishabh Pant who top-scored for the team on day 1, 146 runs before he fell to Joe Root. With this ton, Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant became the second left-handed Indian pair to score a hundred in the same match. India is already ahead in this Test match after initially dangling at 95/5 on day 1 before Pant and Jadeja came to the rescue of India.

Ravindra Jadeja is making a come back to the side after suffering an injury during IPL 2022. With Ravindra Jadeja on the crease, the team is expected to end on a bigger note to put England under pressure. The Indian side will most likely aim to plunder runs to reach 400 as the lower-middle order is looking to step up to the plate.
