India A led Bangladesh A on the opening day of the second unofficial Test match in Sylhet thanks to Mukesh Kumar’s six-wicket haul. The Bengal seamer, who was part of a bowling attack that also included Umesh Yadav and Navdeep Saini, finished with career-best figures of 6 for 40 as the home team was bowled out for 252.
Shahadat Hossain and Jaker Ali’s 139-run sixth-wicket stand prevented Bangladesh A from being bowled out for a low total. Jaker made a more subdued 62 with six fours and a six, while Shahadat had the highest score with 80 points, nine fours, and two sixes. Earlier, Zakir Hasan scored 46 with nine boundaries after his 173 had prevented Bangladesh A from losing in the first unofficial Test.
