Irfan Pathan stated that KL Rahul struggles every time he makes a comeback and most specifically his initial moment gets late which leads to early dismissal for the opening batsman.

KL Rahul was Rohit Sharma’s first choice opening partner for the current ICC T20 World Cup 2022, but he hasn’t played well. KL managed only 4 runs off of 8 balls in the opening game against Pakistan before being dismissed by Naseem Shah. KL Rahul once again underperformed against Netherlands in a “far easier competition,” scoring only 9 runs off of 12 balls. Rahul again struggled in the third game against South Africa, scoring 9 runs off of 14 balls, which was also India’s first defeat in the World Cup competition. KL was unable to bat over a strike rate of 100 and failed to score any runs.
