Additionally, preparations for the World Cup include the establishment of a working group, with the committee’s announcement expected after the IPL final.

During the SGM, the BCCI prioritized the formation of an Infrastructure Development and Subsidy Committee to address the concerns raised about stadium amenities. The committee will be responsible for sanctioning grants and overseeing the necessary upgrades. The BCCI aims to complete these renovations ahead of the upcoming World Cup, scheduled for October-November.

Another point of discussion during the SGM revolved around the formation of a working group specifically dedicated to the World Cup. The BCCI empowered the office-bearers to make the necessary decisions regarding the formation of this committee. The official announcement is expected to be made shortly after the conclusion of the IPL final, which takes place on Sunday.

In a significant update, the BCCI has disclosed that the announcement of World Cup venues and the schedule will be made public during the World Test Championship (WTC) final in London. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah confirmed that the details would be unveiled at a media event during the highly anticipated WTC final, scheduled to be held at The Oval from June 7 to 12.

As part of the World Cup planning, each BCCI office-bearer will be entrusted with the management of a specific venue. This arrangement ensures that every venue receives dedicated attention and accountability. Shah revealed that the BCCI is considering various metropolitan cities as potential host venues for the tournament, further emphasizing the importance of efficient planning and coordination.
