ICC Women’s Asia Cup 2022: Sri Lanka register their second win in the tournament

Sri Lanka defeated Thailand by 49 runs to climb up to third spot in the points table.

Sri Lanka defeated Thailand on Tuesday to register their second win in the ICC Women’s Asia Cup 2022.

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Academy Ground, Bangladesh. Opener Harshitha Madavi scored a stunning 81 off 69 to help Sri Lanka mount to 156/5 in the first innings.

Thailand did put up a better game than their last but it wasn’t good enough to defeat the Lanka side. Sri Lanka restricted Thailand to 107/5 and won the game by 49 runs. They currently stand third in the points table after India and Pakistan respectively.
