
India won the toss and decided to bat first in their second T20 World Cup match against Netherlands. The men in blue set a huge target of 179/2 ahead of Netherlands at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
India never had a very promising start losing KL Rahul (9) early in the game. However Skipper Rohit Sharma (53) and undisputed Virat Kohli (62*) handled the innings with a slow run rate gradually turning into hug shots giving India a perfect momentum.
After the skipper’s wicket, SuryaKumar Yadav (50*) the man in form and king Kohli took matters in their hand going all over the ground gaining boundaries every other ball.
Where Virat scored 62 not out off just 44 balls, SuryaKumar Yadav scored 51 not out off 25 balls scoring the fourth fastest T20 World Cup fifty for India.
