ICC Men’s T20I Rankings: Aaron Finch climbs to No. 2 spot after Aus vs NZ T20I series

Australian captain Aaron Finch climbed up to the number two spot in the MRF World Wide ICC T20I men’s ranking on Wednesday for batting after the Australia and New Zealand T20I series that concluded recently.

However, he wasn’t the only batsman who jumped spots to get a place in the top 10 T20I rankings for batting; Martin Guptill who helped New Zealand defeat Australia in the T20I series took the eighth spot.

Aaron Finch who scored 69 runs off 44 deliveries in the third T20I and led the team to victory in the fourth match by scoring 79 off 55 balls climbed the ranking by two spots with 830 rating points.

On the other hand, Martin Guptill led the New Zealand team to a 3-2 series win against Australia by scoring 71 runs off 46 balls making him enter the ICC T20I top 10 rankings with 681 rating points.

While Aaron Finch is behind Dawid Malan of England who is currently in the first rank with 915 rating points, Finch’s fellow Aussie teammate Glenn Maxwell is ranked seven above Martin Guptill and below Indian captain Virat Kohli (697)with 694 points.
