India and South Africa will clash in the second match of the five-match T20I series on Sunday (May 12) at Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium, following a high-scoring battle in the opening game on Thursday (June 9) at Arun Jaitley Stadium. The Rishabh Pant-led team will be trying to rectify their first loss.
David Miller was named Player of the Match in South Africa’s series-opening 212-run chase in New Delhi two nights ago. South Africa achieved their greatest successful chase in T20I with 5 balls to go thanks to the left-hander’s undefeated 64 off 31 balls, which included five sixes.
Axar Patel, a left-arm spinner, bowled each of the ball turning towards the batter’s striking line. The nine deliveries produced 21 runs, with the final three giving four, six, and six runs, consecutively.
When asked how India intends to bowl against David Miller during the press conference on Saturday (June 11), Bhuvneshwar Kumar expressed his thoughts “It is difficult. He’s in good form. I would want South Africa to drop him, but they would not do so,” and chuckled. “He batted so well in the IPL. We know his calibre. Bowling to him would be a challenge,” he further added.
