“I believe in doing my job and I am not worried about how pant is batting” says Wriddhiman Saha

In the last three tests of the Border-Gavaskar series 2020-21 Wriddhiman saha was replaced by rishab pant as wicketkeeper batsman. in Ind vs Aus pant has grabbed the opportunity and crushed two half-century.

In an chat with The Times Of India Saha told that, “I have been hearing these comparisons between me and pant since 2018. I believe in doing my job and I am not worried about how pant is batting. I don’t want to change my game because of that. Its up to the management team to decide who will stand behind the stumps.”

Saha said on stressing on the need for a specialist wicket keeper in test cricket that, “There are circumstances when a missed chance can change the result of a match as Wicketkeeping is a specialist job especially in Test Cricket.”

In the first Test in Adelaide, Saha managed to score of 9 and 4, where India has faced humiliation due to their lowest Test of 36 all out and had lost the match by eight wickets.

Saha has expressed his confidence in ‘making the most of every opportunity I get’ when India will face England which is starting from February 5 in Chennai.

England tour India for four Tests , five T20Is and three ODIs will start from February and March 2021.
