The All-India Senior Selection Committee has announced separate squads for the upcoming tours against New Zealand. The NZ series for the ODI format will be led by Shikhar Dhawan, while the T20 series has shocked the fans after Team India witnessed Hardik Pandya leading the team. India’s Test and ODI teams for the December tour of Bangladesh have also been announced by the BCCI. Between December 4 and December 26, the two teams will play three one-day internationals and two test matches. Given their standing in the current World Test Championship cycle and their need to go to the final, India must win the Test series.

India’s team for the forthcoming tours of Bangladesh and New Zealand in November and December was announced by the BCCI on Monday. While many young people, such Yash Dayal and Kuldeep Sen, received opportunities, many others, including Prithvi Shaw and Umesh Yadav, did not.

It was clear that the players must be frustrated that guys like Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan, who have performed on the domestic circuit for the previous year or so, didn’t have a chance.

Another well-known figure who was left out is Prithvi Shaw, who has been performing well on the home circuit. He is one of the notable batsmen who has not received many opportunities from the BCCI and the Indian team.

“We basically are looking at Prithvi, we’re constantly in touch with Prithvi, he has been doing well. There’s nothing wrong with him at all. The thing is – the players who are already playing and those who are performing, they have got their chances. He [Shaw] will definitely get his chance. The selectors are in constant touch with him, talking to him, he is doing well and he will get his chances very soon,” said Chetan Sharma (Chairman of Selectors).

Prithvi Shaw expressed his feelings when he was not selected in any of the series and uploaded a story – “Hope you are watching everything SAI BABA.”
