
The second T20 match between India and Australia held in Nagpur started with a surprise when the match was brought down to 8 overs per innings.
India won the toss and decide to field first in the mini-game.
Aussie skipper Aaron Finch (31) looked dangerous and was hitting massive against the Indian bowlers until Bumrah struck him with an astonishing yorker. The Indian seamer also received praise from dismissed Finch.
It was Matthew Wade who played the part again by scoring 43 off 20 balls to help Australia reach a total of 90 in the first innings.
However, The Indian skipper looked firmed since the start and charged Australian seamers with huge sixes. While, the men in yellow were successful in taking wickets from one end dismissing KL Rahul (10), Virat Kohli (11), Hardik Pandya (9) and Suryakumar Yadav for a duck, they were unable to stop the fury of Rohit Sharma.
Sharma scored 46 not out of 20 balls with a destructive strike rate of 230.00. He smashed Australian bowlers with 4 fours and four massive sixes.
The Hitman didn’t only ensure his side was victorious but also surpassed Martin Guptil to become the only batter to hit the most number of T20 international sixes.
India and Australia will now face each other at Hyderabad to decide the T20 series winner.
