Indian women’s cricket team vice-captain Harmanpreet Kaur added another quill to her cap on Sunday after she took the field for the 100th time in one-day global cricket in the continuous match against South Africa in Lucknow.
The 31-year-old Punjab cricketer has 2372 runs in the 50-over design till date at 34.88 with 3 hundreds and 11 half-centuries of years.
“As far as she might be concerned, it’s simply going to be an achievement reached and it’s a decent accomplishment for Kaur,” said previous India skipper Anjum Chopra.
“She (Kaur) is an ordinary one in both T20 and ODI and different associations around the globe and for her it is unquestionably a number accomplished. Here, she might want to make the most of it when she steps on the ground for the main ODI,” said Chopra.
The Indian women’s team is back in real life after right around a year having played their last international match – women’s T20 World Cup final vs Australia – on March 8, 2020.
A few experienced players like Ekta Bisht, Anuja Patil, Veda Krishnamurthy, Taniya Bhatia, and Shikha Pandey have been rested while C. Pratyusha, Yastika Bhatia, Ayushi Soni, Swetha Verma, Monica Patel, and Simran Dil Bahadur have procured their maiden call-ups.
