Star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya will reportedly skip the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka. According to reports, Pandya has informed the BCCI that he will miss the series due to personal reasons. The all-rounder was a key player in the T20 World Cup-winning Indian side and played a crucial role throughout the tournament.
Reasons Behind the Decision
According to the Indian Express, one of the reasons for Pandya’s absence is his fitness. A BCCI source involved in decision-making said, “It is a delicate matter. There is an argument on both sides of the debate and thus everyone is not on the same page. Hardik’s fitness is an issue but he played a big role in breaking India’s ICC jinx.”
There has been a lot of speculation about Hardik Pandya’s personal life since IPL 2024. His wife, Natasa Stankovic, has not been seen with him for the last three months. The all-rounder has remained silent on the matter. Additionally, Natasa was not present at the massive roadshow in Vadodara, where Pandya received a hero’s welcome from over 3 lakh people.
