Harbhajan Singh expressed the concern of removing him from the Indian squad during 2012-13 without any reason. Harbhajan Singh also added that some officials and ‘two’ selectors did not want to explain or talk to the veteran spinner. Harbhajan struggled to get back in the Indian squad which demotivated him to play for team India. Harbhajan Singh in a sorrowful tone shared the concern of Indian management being disrespectful to the veteran spinner.

Harbhajan Singh unleashed the harsh truth with an unanswerable question of why the World Cup-winning squad was never called up together after the World Cup. India brought in a lot of changes after the 2011 World Cup and Harbhajan questions the management of why the prime and in-form players were rested after the World Cup.

Harbhajan Singh feels ‘used and threw’ by the BCCI as the management during the 2012 time gradually removed the veteran and World Cup-winning players, including 2011 World Cup Man of the Series Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, and Virendra Sehwag. Retired in 2021, Harbhajan felt helpless after the 2011 World Cup as the selectors, management and even the captain were not able to explain the reason for Harbhajan’s removal from the squad during 2012-13.
