Glenn Maxwell returns to Dubai as he joins RCB squad

The Australian all-rounder joins Royal Challenger Bangalore as he can’t wait to get started for the second half of the IPL.

The Indian Premier League as well as the Royal Challengers Bangalore have officially announced that Glenn Maxwell of Australia has joined the RCB squad as he can’t wait to get back to his impeccable performance shown in the first half of the IPL conducted in India. It was unfortunately decided by the BCCI that the rest of the tournament won’t be held in India due to the surge in COVID-19 cases. Many players as well as a coaching staff were detected with COVID-19, and with quarantine periods it was a major headache for most of the players. The rest of the tournament will begin from September 19 till October 10 in Dubai and UAE onwards.

The Aussie put the centre stage ablaze with his sensational drives and hard-hitting shots as he scored 223 runs in 7 games with a strike rate of 144.80. He scored two half-centuries in the seven games played by the RCB.

Fans cannot wait to see the Aussie do what might be his best IPL performance for the Royal Challengers Bangalore as they are one of the favourites to win the IPL with the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.
