India has won the toss and opted to bat first in the 1st ODI and it would be exciting to watch what team does the hosts play after dominating Sri Lanka in the recently concluded white-ball series.
Ahead of the 1st ODI, in-form player Suryakumar Yadav stated that he loves playing the ODI format. Yadav also appreciated the fans for recognising him as a dominating star player but he acknowledged the efforts behind the claps of the crowd.
Suryakumar Yadav: I have always loved playing this format as well. I’m looking to do well. Nothing changes, intent and energy remains the same. I try and play situations, whatever situation I’m playing at. Whatever the team demands, I go through the motions. It (getting crowd ovation) is nice, the recognition but you have to remember what you did to get all this, so I try to remain the same.
Fans waited for Suryakumar Yadav to play against Sri Lanka and the wait was over when team India announced Suryakumar Yadav’s name for the 3rd ODI but he couldn’t perform well and looks to put a new start with his attacking energy against the Kiwis.
