Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has made an appeal to the Indian team management and selectors. The appeal is finding a back-up for the Indian all-rounder named Hardik Pandya. The all-rounder is one of the best in the position for India. Hardik Pandya has a great batting and bowling skill and can win matches with both.

Gautam Gambhir feels India needs to find some player like Hardik Pandya as the player is exceptional and the talent he has is spectacular. He feels if Hardik gets injured then Indian team will be in trouble as they have got no stable all-rounder.

The pace all-rounder is currently captaining Indian side against Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series. The T20I series has started from 3rd January and Indian team is leading it by 1-0 after they won the first game by 2 runs on Tuesday.

“They need to quickly identify a back-up for Hardik; if something happens to him, India will be in serious, serious trouble,” said Gautam Gambhir as reported by ESPNcricinfo.

The second T20I between India and Sri Lanka will be played on Thursday, 4th January at Maharashtra Cricket Association, Pune.
