With Sri Lanka becoming the first team to qualify from the qualifiers, there was a great match in determining the second spot for the qualifiers as Scotland and Netherlands in which the Netherlands proved themselves and got their ticket for Inida World Cup 2023.
The Scotland team scored 277 in 50 overs with Brandon McMullen playing a great knock of 106 of 110 balls for his team. For the Netherlands team, Bas de Leede took 5 wickets in his 10 overs. The qualification criteria for the Netherlands was to chase the target in 44 overs. The chasing side was 108/4 at 24 overs and it seemed that the match was going in favor of the Sottish, but De Leede played a significant knock of 123 of 92 balls, and the winning runs were scored by Van Beek as the Netherlands chased the target in 42.5 overs to win the ticket for the World Cup 2023.
Now all the teams have been finalized for the World Cup the Indian team will play Sri Lanka on November 2 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. This can be the rematch of the 2011 World Cup final in which India won the World Cup by defeating Sri Lanka. The hosts will play the second qualifying team, the Netherlands, on November 11 in Bengaluru. All the cricket fans are excited for the World Cup 2023 as less time remains for it.
