“Expecting to continue the momentum’” says Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana

The Indian women’s cricket team is prepared to maintain the momentum after taking home silver medal at the  Commonwealth Games.  Next, India will play three T20Is and three ODIs against England.  The inaugural Twenty20 International will be contested on September 10 at Riverside Ground, and opening batter  Smriti Mandhana discussed how the year 2022 was particularly beneficial for the women’s squad before to the series.

“The year 2022 has been good for the women’s cricket team, and we are expecting to continue this momentum with the upcoming India tour of England. We are elated after winning the silver medal in the Commonwealth Games, we will look to replicating our success in the upcoming series as well,” said Mandhana in an official release.
