Except Sir Don Bradman, no other visiting player has scored more centuries than Rohit Sharma in England

Rohit Sharma hit his 9th century in England on Saturday to go past Rahul Dravid’s record of 8 centuries. Now, only the great Don Bradman is above Rohit in the tally of most centuries in England.

Rohit Sharma is breaking records in the five-Test match series against India. The Indian opener now is in the top 3 in the list of Most International Hundreds by Visiting Players in England. He hit his 9th century in the ongoing Test series between India and England. The Indian opening batsman scored a magnificent 127 runs on day 3 of the fourth Test in Oval cricket ground.

He has broken the record of an Indian legend Test batsman named Rahul Dravid who scored a total of 8 centuries in England before his retirement. Rohit has gone past him after scoring his ninth in the match. The Indian opener also equalled the record of one of the greatest batsmen of all time, the Antiguan retired Viv Richards. Having played 55 matches in England Richards scored 9 centuries and had a total of 3402 runs.

Rohit Sharma who played exquisitely well in the second innings for India had a great partnership of 153 runs with Cheteshwar Pujara for 2nd wicket. Pujara also scored 61 runs but got out at the end of the day. As Rohit Sharma acquired the 3rd position in the list of most hundreds by visiting players in England, only Sir Don Bradman has scored more centuries than him. The Indian has been in great form lately and is seen consistently performing for the team. Thus, looking at his performance it would not be wrong to say that Rohit can also break the Legend batsman Sir Don Bradman’s record of most centuries in England.
