Curran gave his test sample on Thursday, and is since isolating in his hotel room at the Ageas Bowl.
In a statement released by the ECB, they were quoted as saying, “England all-rounder Sam Curran has had sickness and diarrhoea overnight. He is feeling better this afternoon, and has been self-isolating in his room at the Ageas Bowl. He will play no further part in the practice match.” They further mentioned that he was being monitored by the team doctor throughout, having been tested for the infectious virus earlier the same day.
Sam Curran was part of the practice match between Team Stokes and Team Buttler in the build up to the England vs West Indies test series.
