
England’s tour to Pakistan for a limited over series in January is set to be postponed until September or October 2021. England’s white-ball players are set to participate in the Big Bash League (BBL). England’s squad is scheduled for a longest format series of the game in Sri Lanka and India in January next year, there had been possibilities of sending the England’s team to Pakistan to have a first official tour in the last 15 years. Pakistan earlier, this August toured England for a three-match Test series and many T20Is.
England last toured to Pakistan in 2005 and were scheduled to play a Test series in 2022, but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had wished for a sooner visit. However, England are scheduled to play a series in South Africa. All the matches are expected to be played in a bio-secure environment in the Western Cape, at both Newlands and Boland Park.
The series is set to start from November 27 and will be the first series in South Africa since the country wide lockdown.
