ENG v IND 4th Test: Indian team begins preparation for a final test at Edgbaston

India was ahead 2-1 in the fifth Test against England in Manchester when their team was hit with a spate of COVID-19 cases, forcing the match to be postponed.

The Indian players, who flew to England on Thursday morning, arrived at the airport late Thursday night and have already begun training. As the men in blue prepare for a difficult series against England, Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, and others were seen during their warmup session in London.

Team India did not waste any time after landing in the United Kingdom, as they headed to the field and began practising on Friday. The players were spotted exercising at the Lord’s Cricket Facility’s training ground in photos published by the official BCCI account.

The Indian team will embark on a multi-format trip to England. The IND versus ENG 5th Test, three T20I games, and three ODIs will be part of India’s tour to England in 2022. The team will be led by Rohit Sharma throughout the series, with all of the key players returning for the Test.

Two Indian teams will be in action at the same time during India’s trip of the United Kingdom. Following the home series against South Africa, the T20I squad will play two T20Is against Ireland on June 26 and 28. Members of the Test team will be in action against Leicestershire in a four-day practise match at Grace Road in Leicester at the same time as the T20I side takes on Ireland in Dublin.
