The tax authorities sent a show notice to the parent company Dream Sports for alleged GST evasion & for not paying 28% GST on face value of bets. While Moneycontrol stated the tax demand to be 40,000 crore, ET pegged the number as 25,000 crore.

However, the famous online gaming company has moved to Bombay HC filing a complaint against the notice.
