Do you kno who holds the record for fastest Test 200? Read details

Nathan Astle scored the fasted double hundred in Test on March 16, 2002 against England at Christchurch. Chasing 550, Astle gave England major shake in the fourth innings. Sending the ball everywhere around the corner, this Kiwi stood as the wall for his team.

New Zealand lost both their openers shortly while chasing the target. Astle donned some typical limited over shots just after entering with the bat. As he seemed to deal with the boundaries only, Astle’s double hundred came off just 153 balls. It took him only 39 balls to convert his 100 into the double ton.

While wickets fell at a regular interval at the other end, but Astle geared up his innings and jolted the bowlers. He went on scoring 222 in the match.
