Dinesh Karthik raises concerns over Baba Indrajith’s omission from Duleep Trophy squad

India wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has expressed his confusion over the selection committee’s decision to exclude Baba Indrajith from the South Zone squad for the upcoming Duleep Trophy. Karthik took to social media to question the omission, highlighting the inconsistency in the selection process.

Karthik pointed out that Indrajith recently represented Rest of India against Madhya Pradesh in early March 2023, but since then, there have been no first-class matches. Despite this, the talented batsman was not included in the South Zone team for the prestigious domestic tournament.

Expressing his bewilderment, Karthik tweeted, “I don’t understand the selection committee these days. Baba Indrajith plays for Rest of India against MP in the first week of March 2023. There has been no first-class matches post that, but he doesn’t feature for SOUTH ZONE in the Duleep Trophy. Can someone tell me why?”

Baba Indrajith, who represents Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket, has been a consistent performer for his team over the years. His exclusion from the Duleep Trophy squad has raised eyebrows, considering his recent form and contribution to the game.
