Former Kolkata Knight Rider captain Dinesh Karthik and India’s star Squash player Dipika Pallikal shared posts on social media, announcing the birth of their twins. Karthik captioned his posts: “And just like that 3 became 5.” He also revealed the name of the boys, Kabir Pallikal Karthik and Zian Pallikal Karthik.

The duo got married in 2015. Karthik was recently involved in the revival of KKR in the second phase of IPL 2021. He played a crucial role for his team, as they marched to the third IPL final, but fell short after suffering a defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings. Karthik was also going to be a part of the Tamil Nadu Team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy but was ruled out due to an injury. This means that he will now get the golden opportunity to spend some more time with his wife and the newborns. In his absence, Vijay Shankar will lead the TN squad. On the other hand, Dipika who was already out with an Ankle injury is set to start training for the 2021/22 season. The Asian Games and Commonwealth Games medalist might be seen in action in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
