Some Believe Dewald Brevis of South Africa is the 2.0 version of AB de Villiers as he is continuing to perform in the ongoing Under-19 World Cup in West Indies. He has registered 65,104,96 and 97 with his bat in the four innings for his side in the tournament showing off his batting skills and temperament and making a strong case for the upcoming Indian Premier League season.
Brevis’ batting style has a similarity to South African legend AB de Villiers, but what lies ahead for the wonder child? He’s a fan of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), primarily because of de Villiers and Virat Kohli, and an old picture of Brewis in RCB jersey has been also doing rounds on social media.
If the teenage prodigy continues to perform the way he has so far may soon make his way to share the RCB dugout with Virat Kohli. With a century and three fifty-plus scores in the tournament, he has also bagged 6 wickets so far in the Under 19 world cup.
He caught the Attention of Indian fans during the India vs South Africa match in the tournament where he scored and brilliant knock of 65 runs but went in vain as his side lost the match.
When Brevis scored his half-century the South African dugout had a placard that readout ‘BABY AB!!!’ also an old compilation video of his batting style and strokeplay is going viral on social media.
