Delhi Capitals begin their recruitment process as auction date approaches

Delhi Capitals had a stellar season in the previous edition of IPL. They made their first IPL final appearance in history. The team was built around youngsters as their side was the youngest side in the IPL. DC had a roller-coaster season as they made it to the final where they lost to the defending champions Mumbai Indians.

DC had a legendary coaching staff as they had Ricky Ponting as their head coach and Mohammed Kaif as their fielding coach. Now DC has added Pravin Amre as their assistant coach. Amre represented India in 11 Tests and 37 ODI’s. He has been associated with the Mumbai Ranji team where he was the head coach of the side. Under him, Mumbai won three Ranji titles. He even played the role of talent scout for Mumbai Indians since 2019.

DC management feels confident about having Amre in the think tank as he has been watching players all around the country. The CEO of Delhi Capitals mentioned that the addition of Amre will help the Indian players as they have known him and Amre knows each player’s game.

Amre thanked the DC management to get him on the coaching staff as he feels good to be back in the DC team and eager to work with Ricky Ponting.

The IPL auction will likely happen in February as per the sources. The addition of Amre who has seen the talent closely will definitely help them in getting the best players from different parts of India.
