The mega auction of IPL 2022 will take place on February 12th and 13th in Bengaluru and over a thousand players have registered to take part in the upcoming auction of the tournament. The 2022 season will be exciting as there will be the addition of the two new franchises from Lucknow and Ahmedabad. which will fire up the competition in the mega auction which will be held.

Former Indian cricketer now commentator Aakash Chopra believes that David Warner the seasoned player and also one of the top-scoring players will not be the number 1 pick for many sides when his name goes under the hammer. Warner was released by Sunrisers Hyderabad after the 2021 campaign in which he lost the captain’s armband and was also underwhelming with his bat only scoring 195 runs and was dropped from the eleven during the final group stage phase.

Warner will be in demand but he has lost a certain amount of goodwill but will be expensive for the teams to pounce on him and he believes the Lucknow franchise is not keen on the Aussie opener, Chennai has its opening pair sorted so they would not be looking at him as is the case with Mumbai Indians too.

He is a proven player and other teams will have an eye on him and could also be a leader for the side he plays for if he gets selected by any of the franchises.
