Danish Kaneria reckons Virat Kohli needs to stay focus over game rather controversies

Danish Kaneria slammed Virat Kohli reaction over Sourav Ganguly and wants him to concentrate on his cricket.

  • Since the time Virat Kohli has officially announced giving up T20 Captaincy. Nothing has been good for Indian modern-day chase master. After India’s bizarre campaign in the T20 World Cup 2021 under the head coach Ravi Shastri. Former coach was on his last tour as head coach added another failure in his cabinet. Shastri was a bad thing to the Indian Cricket where many players like Gautam Gambhir, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuvraj Singh, and Harbhajan Singh have been sidelined for any reason.

Straight after the recent series against New Zealand, BCCI announced that Rohit Sharma has set to replace Virat Kohli in both ODI and T20 format as a captain. What’s next was the drama around the world cricket with the flood of reactions.

Though after New Zealand’s defeat in T20 World Cup, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has his word that team India has divided into two groups. One with Kohli and one against Kohli. There was no planning from a team who’s one of the best teams in the world. Now after Shoaib Akhtar, another player from Pakistan has his word over Virat Kohli’s performance. Danish Kaneria says Virat Kohli needs to focus on his batting rather than have to indulge in the controversies.

“Since two years, Virat Kohli has not scored any century so there is no point to raise the voice. Talking over legends like Sourav Ganguly and Anil Kumble, Virat needs to be aware of,” Danish Kaneria highlighted as reported by TOI.

“Even in the past, Kohli had problems with Anil Kumble. Both have been legends of the game, if it was not Ganguly team India had still in the shadows of perception. Dhoni took forward the Indian Cricket to new heights. But Virat Kohli 90 minutes clarification wasn’t apt,” Kaneria narrates.
