CPL 2020: St Lucia Zouks made it happen against all odds, to a total of 92 put up on the scoreboard looked like a target quite easy for Tridents to chase on paper, but Zouks had other ideas as they won the game by 3 runs in a game where Tridents had a clear edge.
The start was a solid one by Tridents with Charles hitting the early runs but the tides changed when SD Hope was lbw by Williams and then on wards Zouks started to have their grip on the game with Mayers getting dismissed at just 2 and JO Holder was back to pavilion at just 1, the bowling force of Zouks ensured they were economical as they had to defend a tight score and they did it well.
Restricting middle order batsmen of Tridents just to single and not much they put the pressure on the chasing team, the batting order of Tridents could not even gain any momentum throughout the second half of the innings and with last ball of the innings remaining Tridents needed a six which was not delivered by team and they fall to a defeat which was the making of their own.
