Seamer Cameron Green’s first five-wicket haul on Sunday helped Australia defeat Zimbabwe by five wickets in the opening one-day international in Townsville, which is staging the first series between the two countries since 2004. Despite losing their first bilateral ODI in Australia, Zimbabwe played well. They may have lost today’s game due to their late batting collapse, but they’ll try to play better on Wednesday. They’ll also hope Williams and Muzarabani return since they’ll give this lineup some steel.

“Finchy summarized well, we got a bit of footage to watch, the last couple of days we have trained quite hard. I realized that the wicket was a bit up and down, nipping around a length, so the plan was simple, bowl within the stumps. It was just me and Marnus who trained yesterday, missed out on the golf, but looking to join the rest of the boys,” said Man of the Match Cameron Green.
