The BCCI has not made a decision about who will have the rights to broadcast the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan.
It is likely that Star Sports, who had the rights in the previous cycle, may be selected through an agreement, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
It would have been easier if they had negotiated an extension when the previous deal was still in place, but now the parties may have to go through a process to finalize the new agreement, which will be completed by July.
Meanwhile, BCCI is yet to formally announce the schedule and venues for the World Cup. According to reports – The announcement could come in the next fortnight.
