BCCI President Sourav Ganguly reveals India’s plan to win T20 World Cup

Sourav Ganguly stated: Head coach, Rahul Dravid, will most likely field a settled playing XI in England T20I series to finalise on the squad for T20 world cup, 2022.

Sourav Ganguly, former Indian captain and current president of the BCCI, has disclosed that India’s head coach Rahul Dravid will begin selecting players for the T20 World Cup after the three-match T20I series against England. Some key players, like as skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja are not participating in the current series, but they are all expected to feature in the T20I series in England.

On home soil, India is presently playing South Africa in a five-match T20I series. The players will then go to Ireland and England to play further T20I matches. Later this year, Australia will host the eighth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

India has chosen an inexperience squad in T20I matches this year for a range of reasons, but with much less than four months till the big tournament, the Men in Blue are expected to cut the potential and offer more exposure to those in contention for the multi-nation event.

“Rahul Dravid (Team India head coach) is looking into it. He has been planning to play a settled set of players at some stage. Probably from the England tour next month, we will start playing with players who are likely to play in the T20 World Cup in October,” Sourav Ganguly told TOI.
