The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the Indian cricket team will tour Ireland for a three-match T20I series in August. This comes just a day after the ICC World Cup 2023 schedule was revealed.
The matches will be held at the Malahide Cricket Club Ground or The Village in Dublin, where India had previously won a two-match T20I series last year.
The matches are set to take place on August 18, 20, and 23 at the Malahide Cricket Club Ground or The Village in Dublin.
The Indian team, currently ranked as the top men’s T20 side, is expected to be led by Hardik Pandya instead of Rohit Sharma to manage player workload ahead of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
Cricket Ireland’s CEO, Warren Deutrom, expressed excitement about hosting India once again, acknowledging the high demand for cricket in the country.
Before the Ireland tour, India will be playing against the West Indies, featuring two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20 internationals. In total, India will play eight T20I matches in August.
